Honky Tonk Confidential
Honky Tonk Confidential (HTC) is a retro/alt country band from the Washington, D.C. area. The band's latest CD, "Road Kill Stew & Other News" is the result of a collaboration with CBS News chief Washington correspondent and Face the Nation anchor, Bob Schieffer. In 2007, the album was named best of the year and "TV Anchorman" was named best song by the Washington Area Music Association. Other 2007 Wammie nominations include county band, country instrumentalist (Mike Wood), and artist of the year. Mike Wood plays blues, jazz standards and rock as well as got country. In past years, he won a Wammie for pop/rock instrumentalist and was nominated for multiple Wammies in the country vocalist and country instrumentalist as well as artist of the year. Diana Quinn began as a classical guitarist, studying with the legendary Sophocles Papas. She founded and still performs with Tru Fax & and the Insaniacs, Washington, D.C.'s longest-lived punk/new wave legendary cult band. Diana also founded the (defunct) Dynettes and now performs theThe Fabulettes (a 60s girl group rock and roll band ). Besides HTC's many Wammies, Diana won a wammie for Rock female vocalist, and she's been nominated for many others over the past few years. Sam Goodall stand-up and electric bass player, he most recently from the terrific blues band, The Melanie Mason band. Bobby Martin plays pedal steel guitar, dobro and electric guitar. He has been nominated for Wammies in the country instrumentalist category. Drummer Mark Lindamood has played with HTC on many of the tunes on several compilations and on all the cuts on "Road Kill Stew & Other News."

Pam Parker
Parker's vocals are expressive, rich, and haunting. Audiences typically hang on to every note she sings and plays. Parker and her band, who have become regulars at Blues Alley and other local venues, perform blues, swing, jazz, folk and R&B. She is featured frequently on jazz and folk radio stations in DC, Texas, New York, and Los Angeles. T.G. McGrath in Dirty Linen magazine raves: "If you can dream, then the dream is yours. That's what Pam Parker, a Washington, D.C.-area musician and vocalist, lives for, and if you believe in Nina Simone, Big Mama Thornton, and James Taylor, you can share the dream too. Parker has a big voice: her "Hound Dog" is made for rockin' up a house party, but she also knows how to whisper a good lullaby." Parker has performed at the Washington Folk Festival, Takoma Park Music Festival, and the Strathmore in North Bethesda. have performed at the Takoma. She sang at the tribute to Pete Seeger in honor of his 88th birthday and wrote the theme song for WPFW's Sophie's Parlor show.
